I was proud to cover the event last year, and was amazed at the community of people that pulled together for a cause to help others outside of the grid. Four shopping sims worth of creators across Second Life’s grid have created exclusive items they are specifically donating 100% of the the proceeds to SOS, as well as other vendors still supporting the cause.
SOS Festival benefits MSF/Doctors Without Borders, which is a medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
This year you can find live entertainment, fashion shows, raffles, auctions, gachas, and more. Please stop by FREQUENTLY between Sept. 16 and Oct. 1. Bring your friends and family, and enjoy the many sims of shopping and entertainment, all for this amazing cause.
